Photos courtesy of Bruce Frandsen(KSL News) -- The trailer from a jack-knifed semi toppled off a freeway overpass in Weber County earlier this evening.
State troopers say the semi carrying apples was heading from I -15 to I -84 when it took a curve too fast and smashed into the side of the overpass. The impact unhitched the trailer from the cab.
The trailer tumbled off the overpass and dumped its load on southbound I -15. It blocked at least two lanes during the evening commute.
No one was hurt. The truck driver was cited.
A trucking accident almost identical to today's happened at the same place more than six years ago.
Two trucks, also carrying apples, collided at the Riverdale Exit. One semi went over the edge of the ramp and landed on the other.
