WEBER COUNTY — Search and rescue teams looking for a missing Ogden woman near Pineview Reservoir found a body inside a submerged vehicle Tuesday night.
Weber County sheriff's deputies were called out to the reservoir around 7:30 p.m. after friends of the missing woman's family — who were conducting their own helicopter search — spotted what looked like a vehicle in the water. The deputies soon called out a dive team.
"The dive team has responded and determined that it is the vehicle missing out of Ogden City," said Weber County Sheriff's Sgt. Ryon Hadley.
Divers also found a body inside the car.
"We haven't made positive identification yet," Hadley said. "Sometime in the next hour the vehicle will be pulled from the lake and we'll see if we can make a positive identification at that time."
Representatives from the Weber County Sheriff's Office are not releasing the missing woman's name.
More information will be posted as it becomes available.
