(KSL News) Kanab's mayor plans to release a statement and hear public opinion today on a recently-passed, controversial resolution.
The mayor and city council approved a resolution of the "Natural Family" in January. The resolution says in part, a family formed by "the marriage of a woman to a man, and a man to a woman as ordained by God."
It goes on to say, "We envision young women growing into wives, homemakers, and Mother."
And, "We see our homes as open to a full quiver of children."
Some Kanab residents are angry with the resolution, and hotels say tourism has suffered because of it.
