Shelley Osterloh ReportingAn American woman snowboarder, the best hope for gold in a new Olympic event, was cruising to victory until her final jump.

Team USA added a new medal to its haul. Some say, it should have been gold.

It looked like 20-year-old Lindsey Jacobellis had the gold as she coasted to what should have been a run away victory. But Jacobellis grabbed her board just before the finish line and fell, allowing the Swiss rider to speed on for the gold.

Some spectators called the move a trick. She called it a frantic attempt to stabilize herself. Whatever her reason, there was a bit of disappointment after the race.

The snowboard team has accounted for six of the ten U.S. medals won so far-- three gold and three silver.
