Banners and signs lined the street, and Lund said everyone was quick to extend their support.

Zach Lund, Banned from Olympics: "I've had total support from complete strangers, family to friends, to neighbors. It's been pretty overwhelming."

Lund's Olympic dreams were cut short after a Olympic court of arbitration overturned a decision to allow him to compete. A hair-restoration drug found in his system can also be used to mask steroids.

The court found Lund did not cheat, but suspended him for one year. Lund said today he plans to compete in 2010.
