AP Photo/Jason Olson(KSL News) One of Utah's most notorious polygamists, Tom Green, got out of prison early this morning.
Tom Green has served six years. The state Board of Pardons and Parole scheduled today as his release date from the Utah State Prison in Draper.
Green was convicted of child rape in 2001 for having sex in 1986 with a 13-year-old, who became his first wife. He was also convicted of bigamy for having four other wives.
Green prepared a statement. It says in part, "I look forward to return to life in society and to begin carrying again the many responsibilities I have incurred."
