KEARNS — Police are searching for a man who robbed a bank Wednesday afternoon.
Not too often do you hear of a polite robber.
–Sgt. Justin Hoyal
About 2 p.m., a man handed a teller a note demanding money at the US Bank, 5352 S. 4015 West, said Unified Police Sgt. Justin Hoyal. The man showed no indication he was armed and "politely" asked the teller for more money.
"He was courteous with the teller," Hoyal said. "Not too often do you hear of a polite robber."
He fled west on foot after the robbery, Hoyal said.
Police believe the white man is 5 feet 9 inches tall, has a slender build and is in his 60s. He was wearing a beanie, hospital mask, reading glasses, a blue jacket, a blue button-up shirt and Levis.
Police ask anyone with information to call Unified police at 801-743-5843.
