SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg is expected to speak at a Brigham Young University technology forum with U.S. Sen. Orrin Hatch.

BYU says Zuckerberg will speak on technology, innovation and public policy at the school's Marriott Center on Friday.

The forum will include a question and answer session in which Zuckerberg and Hatch will takes questions submitted through the BYU Facebook Events page.

Hatch, who is chair of the U.S. Senate Republican High-Tech Task Force, recently met with Zuckerberg to discuss social media and other digital issues.

Hatch says the forum will be a good opportunity to discuss social media, how it started and where it is headed for the high-tech sector in Utah and across the nation.

The event begins at 11:00 a.m. and is free to the public.
