Image from ChristmasUtah.comMURRAY, Utah (AP) -- A Utah man is getting worldwide recognition for his Christmas lights display.
Marty Slack is the grand prize winner in the 2005 PlanetChristmas Worldwide Decorating Contest for his "Christmas Utah" extravaganza, complete with radio-synched music and choreographed lights.
Slack says he's been doing a big display for several years now and has never really cared about getting recognition. But he says coming from this group, it's a huge honor.
PlanetChristmas is designed to help people deck their yards at Christmastime and every year it has a worldwide decorating contest. Entries are judged on originality, Christmas spirit, contribution to the community and testimonials.
Slack's display can be seen at 5631 Whispering Pine Circle (820 East) and runs through January sixth.
