SALT LAKE CITY -- A group of West High student inventors has hit the big time.
The Inven-Team won a $10,000 grant from MIT to develop a robot that locates land mines.
Students say their invention could be used by the military. Building it may build their future.
Project manager Ned Shelton said, "I think it's a really great opportunity for us to have experience in engineering. I, and a lot of the other kids on the team, want to become engineers."
The Inven-Team has applied for the grant before, but this is the first time it has won.
