SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- People shopping in Weber and Box Elder counties could soon be paying more in sales taxes.
Voters in those counties will likely vote on a sales-tax increase in November's election to help pay for transportation projects.
The tax would increase by one-fourth of a cent.
In Box Elder County, some of the money could be used to help bring commuter rail to area sooner than planned. In Weber County, the money might be used to extend a few roads and improve others.
