SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The Department of Environmental Quality has issued a health advisory because of air poor air quality in Salt Lake, Davis, Utah and Cache counties.
Some particle levels in the air could be unhealthy for sensitive people in the next 24 hours.
The D-E-Q issued an advisory today, warning that children and the elderly should avoid prolonged or heavy outdoor activities. People with heart or breathing problems should also be careful.
The D-E-Q has also asked people to voluntarily NOT use wood or coal burning stoves and fireplaces today.
Carpooling or using mass transit is also recommended.
