SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A West Jordan man accused of soliciting work as a contractor without a license has been charged.
Forty-nine-year-old Sione Finau Fehoko was charged yesterday with five class A misdemeanors of contracting without a license.
Court documents say Fehoko illegally solicited concrete projects from five Salt Lake County families between April and June. Only one of the projects was apparently started, even though Fehoko allegedly cashed checks from the families totaling more than 86-hundred dollars.
A search done by the Utah Department of Occupational and Professional Licensing failed to locate a valid contractor's license for Fehoko.
