(KSL News) Utah's teachers are getting raises, but some will get more than others.
The legislature promised $2,500 raises for every Utah teacher, but it's about $20 million short of making good on that promise. So, most teachers will get around $1,900 a piece.
The Deseret Morning News reports Weber and South Sanpete Districts are giving their teachers the full $2,500 with the hope the legislature will fulfill its promise next winter. Most other districts will wait until the money is actually available.
