OGDEN — A man suffered serious injuries Sunday afternoon after his car went off the road, crashed through a chain-link fence and into two trees.
Just before 3 p.m. a car driven by a 36-year-old man went off the road in the 1600 block of Harrison Blvd. The cause of the accident was still being investigated Sunday evening.
After crashing through the fence and hitting the trees, the vehicle caught fire, said Ogden Police Lt. Shawn Hamblin. The man was pinned in the car and had to be extradited by rescue crews, he said. The victim was reportedly not burned by the fire.
At last word, the man, whose name was not immediately released, was able to talk to doctors at McKay-Dee Hospital and was improving, Hamblin said.
