SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The Utah State Board of Education says securing funding for enrollment growth is its top priority going into the 2011 legislative session.
The Deseret News reports that the board voted last week to recommend that the Legislature allocate an additional $76 million to cover nearly 15,000 expected new students, among other things.
The money would also go to cover optional extended-day kindergarten, funding for the Beverly Taylor Sorenson Arts Learning Program and transportation.
