(KSL News) -- Taylorsville police captured a federal fugitive wanted for manufacturing and distributing methamphetamine.

An officer went to the Oak Meadow Condos (3200 W. 3800 South) this morning to look for stolen cars. While checking license plates, he identified a car belonging to Matthew Hardman, a suspect running from Federal Marshals.

A while later, Hardman went out to get something from the car. He spotted the officer, and took off on foot. Police chased him into a neighborhood, and eventually caught and arrested him.
