A man wanted in the battle was arrested following a six-hour SWAT standoff.

Twenty-three-year-old Monty Dane Fox and a woman in his apartment surrendered yesterday after police broke down his door.

He was arrested and booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of attempted aggravated murder.

Detectives were seeking a 17-year-old youth in the shooting death.

Five other people, who were in another apartment at the same apartment complex, were taken into custody for questioning.

The standoff began about 1:30 a.m. yesterday after police identified Fox as a suspect and tracked him down to the Lemans Apartments.
