OREM, Utah (AP) -- A Utah Valley State College psychology professor accused of child pornography will NOT be charged.
Charges have been dropped against 40-year-old Stephen Joseph Miraglia. Prosecutors say it's impossible to pursue a case after a judge ruled a journal allegedly detailing Miraglia's attraction to teenage boys could NOT be used at trial.
Court documents say Miraglia was charged with eleven counts of sexual exploitation of a minor last year when police found child pornography on his computer.
The judge dismissed the charges after he ruled the journal was legally privileged because it was kept as part of his therapy for sexual addiction.
Yesterday, U-V-S-C officials said Miraglia was still on the school's payroll.
