SALT LAKE COUNTY -- Sim Gill is set to become Salt Lake County's next district attorney after defeating Lohra Miller 52 percent to 44 percent.

In 2006 Miller narrowly defeated Gill for the position. Four years later, Miller lost by a narrow margin to Gill.

Miller says she's incredibly proud of all that she's accomplished during her four years in office. She is proud of the way she ran her campaign this time against Gill, keeping it positive and focusing on her accomplishments.

"I've made incredible changes in domestic violence. I've improved how we prosecute DUI and elder abuse, and I've began a criminal justice system reform that is going to be an incredible improvement for everyone here in Salt Lake County," she said.
