(KSL News) -- One Utah town is hoping to benefit from some important national exposure.

Cedar City was featured on the NBC reality program "Three Wishes" last night. The fire department received a new truck, a blind mother received some special training so she can be more independent, and a retired couple got to hear from children around the world who've benefited from their kindness.

The town had a big party to watch the show, complete with food and dancing.

Donna Brown, Cedar City Chamber of Commerce: "The backdrops they're showing will show people throughout our nation, millions of people, what a beautiful place this is. I think this will increase tourism and I think it has the potential also to increase growth in our community."

During the party, food donations were taken to help others in the community.
