SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Utah's Hogle Zoo is hosting a fundraiser to help preserve wild cheetahs.
The zoo and the Utah Chapter of the Association of American Zoo Keepers are inviting people to join the "Wild Stampede" -- which is a run and walk for the group Action for Cheetahs in Kenya.
The 5K run and walk begins at 8 a.m. next Saturday at the zoo's Entry Plaza.
Zoo officials say the cheetah is one of the most endangered animals in the world.
