"The ones that are hard to load are always hard to load. And it was kind of lucky we got the cats we got. We put the dogs in crates that we could get our hands on," she said.
She said the cats kept her up most of the night.
Tom Baker wasn't going to leave his home with his horses but state troopers forced him to evacuate early Monday morning. He said he was ready.
"Got the horses ready, got the halters on them. I was just anticipating the worst," he said.
He didn't think the fire would get close to his home and he wishes he would have stayed.
A total of 89 horses spent the night at the equestrian center.
