TOOELE -- A Tooele man accused of almost killing his son faces a charge of attempted murder.

According to the Tooele Transcript Bulletin, police arrested Dustin Bunnell, 25, on Tuesday.

Detectives were called to Primary Children's Medical Center to investigate a possible child abuse case.

They say Bunnell's infant son had severe trauma to his brain, possibly caused by shaking.

Bunnell is being held in the Tooele County Jail.
