SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Utah's nine colleges and universities are seeing an almost two percent decline in enrollment.

That's according to the Utah System of Higher Education.

A recent U-S-H-E report says the total number of full-time students dropped from more than 100-thousand in 2004 to more than 98-thousand this year.

Only the University of Utah and Southern Utah University showed increases in full-time students. While, College of Eastern Utah in Price had the biggest decline, which reported an eleven-point-nine percent drop.

There were also decreases in the number of full-time students in "self-supporting" programs such as correspondence courses and concurrent enrollment. In this category, several institutions saw declines. However, Utah Valley State College, saw a 33-point-nine percent jump.
