DaMarques Johnson is living the dream.
Raised in poverty, the Utah native has overcome adversity and seen the hours of hard work in the gym pay off in a big way.
Since losing his UFC debut in the TUF 9 Finale to James Wilkes last summer DaMarques has enjoyed a nice run of success ever since. The Kearns High School graduate has two straight wins at MMA's highest level winning Submission of the Night and Knockout of the Night in his last two fights.
Now Johnson will face Matt Riddle Sunday night in San Diego on UFC Live, an event that will be broadcast nationally on Versus.
Jeremiah Jensen had a chance to sit down with DaMarques before the fight. You can watch the interview above.
