(KSL News) A woman is in jail this morning for allegedly stealing another woman's purse in a Wal-Mart parking lot.
Police say security cameras showed the woman and a man following an elderly woman. When she got to her car, police say the man grabbed her purse.
The victim resisted, but he eventually wrestled it away from her.
Sergeant Ben Bolduc of the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office said, "I always say it's just property, and it's better for your safety to let the property go."
The purse thieves then took off.
Late last night, police spotted the suspects' vehicle and stopped it . They found the female suspect inside, along with the elderly woman's belongings.
That suspect is now in jail. The man is still on the run.
