WEST VALLEY CITY -- West Valley City police are asking for the public's help in finding a robber they say is targeting Subway restaurants.

Surveillance photos show the man is around 6 feet tall, 200 pounds and has a large tattoo on his right forearm.

Investigators say at least twice, the robber has walked into a Subway shop and asked for a cookie. When a clerk opens the register, the robber reaches over, grabs money and then runs.

Sgt. Mike Powell with the West Valley City Police Department says, "We are hoping to find a solution before he commits another crime or turns to a more violent or aggressive act."

Witnesses reported the robber jumping into a red Dodge Neon, possibly driven by a female.

Anyone with information is asked to call West Valley City police.
