MAGNA -- Detectives from the Metro Gang Unit are investigating a drive-by shooting Wednesday night at 8920 W. 2900 South in Magna.

A man was standing in his driveway around 7 p.m. when a vehicle came along and a shot rang out.

"It appears like one shotgun blast, which took out the rear window of his car which was parked in the driveway," said Lt. John Barker with the Unified Police Department. "He does have a couple of small BBs along the side of his head."

Investigators say the injured man was treated at the scene and refused to go to a hospital.

They say he and several witnesses are not cooperating with police.

It's believed the vehicle is a maroon Chevrolet Tahoe or Suburban and may have Idaho license plates.
