MILLCREEK, Utah (AP) -- An investigation is underway after authorities recovered around $20,000 worth of stolen merchandise this week in Salt Lake County.
The items --- mostly construction tools --- were found in a shed Wednesday night in the Millcreek area. Deputies say they've confiscated around 70 items.
A man in his 30s who owned the shed apparently told officers he suspected some of the items were stolen but said he was not the thief. Deputies say the man told them people would give him the tools in exchange for him doing work for them.
So far, no one has been arrested. However, prosecutors will determine if charges should be filed in the case.
