SALT LAKE CITY -- Parts of West Temple were closed Sunday night because of a water main break.

Salt Lake City police say a motorist spotted the leak at 900 South. Pressure from the water caused the street to bulge.

Crews have turned off the water to nearby businesses and will now have to tear up the road to fix the problem.

The closure implemented by construction crews is for the northbound lanes of West Temple, beginning at Fayette Drive.

Crews expect to have the road fixed sometime late Sunday night or early Monday morning.
