(KSL News) Some Utah students are taking their knowledge to the skies. Granger High School engineering students are building a plane.
The plane will have the capacity to travel 1,200 miles, at 200 miles per hour at 2,000 feet in the air.
Granger is the first high school to build a plane of this size in the country.
The plane will be made from composite materials and completely paid for by donations. Students have made graphics to plaster on the plane to thank their donors.
The students will showcase the finished product in the Days of 47 Parade and then hope to sell it to fund similar projects.
