SANDY, Utah (AP) -- A missing Sandy boy has been found safe.
Sandy police say 13-year-old Erick Keith was found at a friend's house where he had spend the night.
The boy was reported missing yesterday by his grandparents after he didn't show up after school.
This morning a father of one of Erick's friends called police after seeing media coverage of the boy's disappearance. He told police Erick was spending the night at a friend's house.
The boy's family thanked the media for helping bring Erick home.
This was the first missing person advisory issued by police in Utah. Last month, police implemented the advisory policy, which is issued when it doesn't meet the criteria for an Amber Alert.
