SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Questar Gas Co. has asked Utah's utility commission for permission to raise customer rates for natural gas by 3.9 percent.
Questar provides most Utahns with the natural gas used in their homes. It says if the Utah Public Service Commission approves the request, a typical customer would pay about $2.20 more per month starting Aug. 1.
Questar is required to apply to the commission for changes in gas-cost rates twice a year.
