ALICIA KEYS' first UNPLUGGED concert for MTV almost became a superstar affair - KEITH RICHARDS and BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN had to pull out of televised collaborations with the soul star at the last minute.
As it is, the show features COMMON, MOS DEF and ADAM LEVINE among others, which debuts in America tonight (23SEP05), but it could have been a much bigger spectacle.
Keys says, "Bruce and I were going to do NEW YORK CITY SERENADE but the schedule just conflicted. And, with Keith, the day the show taped was the day the Stones started rehearsal for their tour.
"But it was really lovely to reach out to people I admire and for them to be so down to do it." (KL/BB/GES)
