SALT LAKE CITY -- A man was critically injured Tuesday evening after being stabbed outside the main Salt Lake City Library.
An officer was driving on 200 East when someone flagged him down. A crowd had gathered, and the officer broke up a fight between two men.
"A [21]-year-old male had been stabbed in the abdomen. The other suspect, the suspect, was still there, still had the knife on him. We have currently taken him into custody. He is a [20]-year-old male," said Salt Lake City police Lt. Melody Gray.
The suspect had also suffered cuts and bruises from the fight. Police are still trying to determine why the two men were fighting.
