KAYSVILLE -- A Kaysville woman is well-known in her neighborhood for organizing a fundraiser for a teenager who has bone cancer. We gave the woman, Staci Hardy, a KSL High 5 Friday morning.
Staci's mother, Joy Canfield nominated her for the honor.

The 14-year-old cancer patient, Mady Slaughter, is doing well. The run that Staci helped organize raised $30,000 for her.
The effort meant a lot to Mady's family.
Her father says, "I think for the most part it was just to see the support, love and support for her, to see that many people supporting her and our family was huge."
Joy says of Staci, "She's always been so concerned for other people and taken time out of her life to help and serve others," Joy says. "I wanted her to know how much we love her and how much the people appreciate what she did."
Staci says love for Mady motivated her to help.
"She's my daughter's best friend. They've been really good friends since they were little girls. More than the money or anything, I just wanted Mady to know she had a big support group to help her through this fight," she says.
