SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The Bureau of Land Management head for the eastern United States has agreed to take the federal agency's top post in Utah, switching jobs with the state's current director.
BLM Director Bob Abbey says Juan Palma has been picked for the Utah office while Selma Sierra will move to Palma's post in Virginia.
Sierra led the Utah office for four years. She transfers July 1.
Palma was previously manager of the agency's Las Vegas field office and was district manager for its Vale District in Oregon.
