(E Pablo Kosmicki/AP file photo) SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The Fox Searchlight production of "127 Hours" has finished filming in Utah.
Directed by Danny Boyle and starring James Franco, the film tells the true story of Aron Ralston.
Ralston is a mountaineer known for amputating his right arm with a dull blade in 2003 after it was pinned by a half-ton boulder at the bottom of a canyon near Moab.
The production was shot throughout the state and resulted in the creation of 150 jobs and $14 million in spending over a 50-day period.
Fox Searchlight plans to release the film later this year.
