SALT LAKE CITY -- A man responsible for a hit-and-run crash that critically injured a woman late Wednesday night is still on the loose.
The crash happened in the intersection of 3900 South and 700 East around 10:10 p.m.
Unified police say a pickup truck ran a red light and smashed into the passenger side of a white Ford Taurus. The driver of the truck then fled on foot.
The woman in the car's passenger seat was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Her 16-year-old daughter, who was driving the car at the time, also went to the hospital with minor injuries. She is 8 months pregnant.
The driver's father was in the back seat and suffered minor injuries.
Police are still searching for the driver of the truck. No description was provided. His medical condition is unknown.
