(KSL News) -- A Sandy scout troop honored a former fellow scout tonight. The teenager died last June, but tonight his legacy lived on.
James Henrie fell while hiking Twin Peaks in Big Cottonwood. Making it to the top was one item on Henrie's list of "things to do." So was becoming an Eagle Scout, which he wasn't able to finish.
Tonight, in his honor, a group of 23 scouts received their Eagle Scout Award. The scoutmaster also gave James' parents a special award in his name.
Today would have been James' 18th birthday.
