(KSL News) Some Utahns are on front-line hurricane relief efforts. Members of the Salt Lake Urban Search and Rescue Team left Utah last week.
They are looking for survivors in Gulfport, Mississippi. They say pictures don't convey the magnitude of the loss.
Mike Ulibarri/ Salt Lake Urban Search and Rescue: "There is no sense of normalcy here at all. Every home is damaged. Minimum it's damaged. It's either partly collapsed, completely collapsed, or it's totally gone."
The search and rescue team has saved lives and encountered situations where it was too late.
We'll have more on their mission tomorrow on Eyewitness News.
