(KSL News) -- A duplex fire in West Valley this afternoon forced a family of two to jump from their second story window.

By the time the residents realized there was a fire, jumping was their only option to escape the flames.
The blaze moved quickly. Witnesses say within minutes the whole building was burning. Fire crews said the grass also caught fire and flames spread to the dog house.
The cause is still under investigation. Early damage estimates are around eighty-thousand dollars.
