Bela Perkins shows her father trash she picked up from the beaches of Utah Lake as a part of an Earth Day project in Vineyard on Saturday. About 200 people came out to participate in the cleanup by removing dead trees, junk and trash. The effort is part of an organized program to spruce up the 75 miles of shoreline that surrounds the lake. Sam Braegger, outreach coordinator for the Utah Lake Commission said that an Adopt-A-Shoreline program will bring in thousands of volunteers to the lake for cleanup projects this spring.
