SALT LAKE CITY — Employees of a Salt Lake auto repair shop arrived at work Monday to find a dead body in one of their vehicles.
The body of a man in his 40s was found inside one of the vehicles at L Autoworks, 42 S. Jeremy St. (840 West), said Salt Lake police detective Richard Chipping.
The cause of death was not immediately known, but the case is not being treated as a homicide, Chipping said. There was also no immediate sign of drugs or that the man, whose name was not immediately released, died of an overdose, he said.
It was not known how long the man had been in the vehicle, but Chipping said some decomposition had begun. The man is believed to be a transient, he said.
It was not immediately known how he was able to access the car.
