THE CON — San Diego Comic Con has come and gone, but at least we got a few treats out of it. The massive convention has become a right of passage for many cinephiles, comic lovers and pop culture warriors over the years.

This year’s SDCC delivered on creating hype for many upcoming movies that fans worldwide are salivating over. Here’s a look at some of the biggest movie trailers to come out of the 2016 San Diego Comic Con.

'Justice League'

Whether you liked “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” or not, it’s hard to say that this trailer for “Justice League” hasn’t captured your interest. This footage gives us a few things to look forward to: more Batfleck, which ended up being the best part of “Batman v Superman,” more Wonder Woman, which was also a highlight of “Dawn of Justice,” and some much needed humor. There are jokes sprinkled into the trailer, and that is something the DC cinematic universe has been seriously lacking.

“Justice League” is due in theaters Nov. 17, 2017.

'Wonder Woman'

Speaking of the DC cinematic universe, here’s another flick in that realm: “Wonder Woman.” “Dawn of Justice” had its issues, but I don’t think Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman was one of them. After that film ended, I was looking forward to her solo movie, and now with the first trailer's release, I’m really excited about it. Not only is it great to see a super heroine get her own film, but this one looks really good. It feels like “Wonder Woman” will be serious, gritty and fun. In my opinion, this may be the best trailer to come out of the San Diego Comic Con this year.

“Wonder Woman” will hit theaters on June 2, 2017.

'The LEGO Batman Movie'

So this is DC, kind of. “The LEGO Movie” is one of the funniest animated movies of all time, and Will Arnett’s Batman was just icing on the cake. The plastic Caped Crusader is now getting his own flick, and it looks like we’ll get more of that “LEGO Movie” magic.

“The LEGO Batman Movie” will batarang into theaters on Feb. 10, 2017.

'Kong: Skull Island'

If someone asked me what movie franchise needs to get another film, I can promise you my answer would not have been "King Kong." Personally, I thought Peter Jackson’s attempt at Kong was noble, but ultimately boring and long. With that bitter taste in my mouth, I wasn’t much looking forward to “Kong: Skull Island.” The trailer for this new take is interesting enough and the cast is solid, but I’m not sold on it just yet.

“Kong: Skull Island” will hit theaters on March 10, 2017.

'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them'

A new trailer for the upcoming “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” premiered at SDCC, and just like the "Harry Potter" films before it, this one looks fun. With a great cast led by Oscar-winner Eddie Redmayne, this return to the magical world that J.K. Rowling created looks whimsical and exhilarating.

“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” will hit theaters on Nov. 18, 2016.

'King Arthur: Legend of the Sword'

Hollywood loves King Arthur, and we’re getting another interpretation of the legendary king’s rise to the throne. I’m still not sure what to think about this film, but I have hope considering Guy Ritchie is set to direct. The man has a style all his own, and his last film “The Man From U.N.C.L.E.,” was the most pleasant surprise of 2015 for me.

“King Arthur: Legend of the Sword” will open March 24, 2017.

'Doctor Strange'

The second trailer for Marvel’s upcoming “Doctor Strange” dropped at SDCC, and it looks trippy. Those who have read my reviews before or know me personally know that I can be a pretty harsh critic of Marvel, but this has Benedict Cumberbatch, so I’m in. Also it looks very “Inception”-like and that’s always OK in my book.

“Doctor Strange” is due in theaters Nov. 4, 2016.
