SNOWVILLE, Box Elder County — A man accidentally shot and killed while target shooting near Snowville on Saturday was the father of 7-month-old twins.

James Shurtz, 27, was target shooting with his father, Glenn Shurtz, about 20 miles west of Snowville. James Shurtz, who was reportedly acting as a spotter downrange while his father fired a .30-caliber rifle at targets, was hit and killed.

A GoFundMe page has been established to help the Shurtz family with funeral expenses "and the many life transitions they will now have to make without him.

He leaves behind his wife, Janae, and their beautiful twins, Navy and Easton, who are 7 months old," according to the Web page.
