SALT LAKE CITY — Police asked the public on Thursday to be on the lookout for a man who they believe is connected to five bank robberies.

Michael Alexander Bacon, 45, has been identified as the prime subject in five bank robberies in the Salt Lake Valley, according to police. The Salt Lake City Police Department is offering a $500 reward for any information that leads to his arrest and conviction.

The robberies police say they have linked Bacon to are:

  • Feb. 2 — Zions Bank, 870 N. U.S. 89 North Salt Lake
  • Feb. 19 — Mountain America Credit Union, 735 S. State St.
  • March 21 — Zions Bank, 3712 W. 3500 South
  • March 24 — U.S. Bank, 922 E. 2100 South
  • March 24 — Chase Bank, 1306 E. Woodland Ave.
The two robberies on Monday were committed within 45 minutes of each other, police said. The man was wearing different clothes at the two banks, but investigators said the man involved with both robberies had a similar appearance and mannerisms.
