WEST POINT — A West Point community has spent the last few days trying to show support for a family that lost two boys after their older brother allegedly stabbed them to death Wednesday night.

Charges have not yet been filed in the case, but the Davis County Sheriff's Office said that the charges may be filed Tuesday. Until an official charge has been made, the community is helping the family to cope with the loss.

The memorial outside the victims' home has continued to grow since the incident on Wednesday with flowers, stuffed animals and hand-written notes from neighbors. Community members said they want to show how many lives have been touched by these boys.

Neighbor Matt Done, 12, said he used to play games with the victims, including football in the front yard. He said the street has been quiet since the tragedy.

"They got along really well," said Matt's mother, Paula Done.

The Dones live a few houses down the street from the victims, and Matt and his mother honored the memory of the boys by placing flowers near the mailbox that now serves as a makeshift memorial.

"We put some flowers and a stuffed animal and a couple balloons to give respect to the family and to the boys and keep them in our memory," Paula said.

The sad chain of events has touched many people, even those who never met the boys.

"Just a tough situation for all of us and we want to be here for the family any way we can, just unbelievable," said West Point resident Wendy Long. "They're all our babies, and a lot of thoughts go through your mind. The pain for the family, your own children, we need to support our own kids and help them through this difficult time as well. Really tough, just really tough."

No funeral plans have been made yet for the 4-year-old and 10-year-old victims.
