THE DANCE FLOOR — Remember when you couldn’t turn around and not run into a video of a choreographed wedding dance?

Mother of the groom getting jiggy with her son, couples shaking their thangs, and whole wedding parties doing a surprise flash mob were all the rage. The trend was everywhere a few years ago, but it turns out it wasn’t modernly unique.

This featured video is proof that thirty years ago at least one couple was creating an exuberant and goofy wedding dance, shunning the tradition of swaying back and forth to "The Way You Look Tonight." (No judgement to those who did. You do you, people.)

The video was posted on Twitter by the co-creator of "Everybody Loves Raymond," Phil Rosenthal, which is appropriate because he and his wife are the enthusiastic couple in the video.

The clip starts with the couple's wedding dance from 30 years ago. It then cuts to a current-day Rosenthal and his wife really cutting a rug in their home.

(I have a sneaking suspicion that this gem was unearthed because people are spending so much time at home trying to fill the time.)

Limbs are flailing and booties are shaking, but whatever goofiness you see is more sweet than funny because of the joy on their faces. (It’s still funny, too.)
